Home Science Tools Hires Trevor Zuroff to Advance Product Development & Innovation Pipeline
Home Science Tools today announced its recent hire of Trevor Zuroff as the company’s Product Development Manager. Zuroff will support acceleration of the company’s innovation pipeline, overseeing new product development and management that aligns with the company’s mission of providing quality hands-on tools that meet customer-centric needs in the science education market.
Within this role, Zuroff will develop and evaluate new products, improve existing products, create product strategies and roadmaps, and ensure processes are functional and supportive of Home Science Tools’ mission, quality standards and growth goals.
Prior to joining Home Science Tools, Zuroff managed technology projects at Royal Dutch Shell, including engine oil innovation programs and biofuel/biochemical process development. He also provided instruction in science and engineering to university-level and K-12 students, and has been published in various peer-reviewed journals. Zuroff holds a doctorate in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
“I was attracted to the company’s commitment to provide science tools that are not only fun and engaging, but, most importantly, are designed to expand life skills, like critical thinking or problem-solving,” said Zuroff. “I intend to apply my experience in science and engineering to bring to market the tools that keep up with today’s student and the everchanging education landscape.”
Zuroff’s appointment follows Home Science Tools’ recent efforts for accelerated growth in the sector, including a $1.8 million-dollar renovation to double office and warehouse space, and hiring of three new key employees since 2016.
“Home Science Tools is thrilled to have Trevor on board to advance our product development strategies,” said Frank Schaner, CEO of Home Science Tools. “His experience will further our ability to meet the needs of our customers and help us stay on the frontlines of providing exceptional science education resources.”
This year, Home Science Tools celebrates 25 years in business.
